A Day of Trump Gratitude

(Note - this post is for those who idolize Obama and hate Trump)

In my gratitude practice today, I included Donald Trump. Why ?

1. In this post modernist world with those who identify with the liberal values of tolerance, inclusiveness, equal rights, and freedom of speech, peace, animal rights, etc. It shows up its falsity and irony as these values aren’t applied equally to all : racists, extreme conservatives, etc. In fact, to certain groups which are un-agreeable, extreme aggression exists. Thank you Donald for showing me that.

2. With Trump, Brexit and countries like Russia, we see a cultural war which exists between two broad groupings. Unfortunately, there is no win-win here. And if this continues, our actual species is threatened. Thanks again Donald.

3. There is no way to peace other than peace. Even peace activists are becoming violent protestors. More irony.

To me this war of culture has no moral solution other than through compassion, listening and trust. Thank you Donald for showing this so clearly in a so called post truth world. These big collective shadows were always there in the background. Now they are front and center, and guess what,
they exist in all of our hearts.

For if we look deeply into our selves, we will find all the contradictions, paradoxes and opposites sitting already in our hearts. Time for us all to see that.
